I bet niether one of these records will break gold. I think kurupts album will be harder. and daz's album will be softer because of j.d.'s influence and yes its already been said in different rap publications that the so so def family is contributing on his album. and I doubt very seriously dre would ever fuck with daz or kurupt ever again.

daz is selling out on this album...how many west coast guests do you think there will be on this...its gonna be alot of jkown, jd, jagged edge and hell maybe even lil bow wow will probably be guests...and jd's pop beats...this is gonna be WACK...and its sad to see some people thinking this is a good thing for daz....why does anyone care if daz goes platinum or not???  it doesnt effect u personally so why give a fuck how much they sell...anyway kurrupts will be tight...he's going back to his roots and though it probably wont be a big seller(again who cares as long as its dope) im have real high hopes for this  8)

I wanna know why you guys think daz is gonna be sucessful with this album?  Westside connection, knoc-turnal, e-40, all got way more promotion than daz album will get, and they didn't do well.

anyways, I'm sure daz album is gonna suck.  He sold out big time, and this album will be full of wack guests and production, and songs.

Kurupt on the other hand, has a lot to prove.  plus he is sure to have better guests and production that daz.

anyways I'm not expecting much at all from either, but I think kurupts album will be better.

i expect daz album too be good i think there will be the odd so so def influenced tracks but i expect daz to produce a lot of this album. i remeber him saying he could get his beats back to how they were sounding back on death row days if he could just be in a more hi tec studio. on so so def he will get that.

I think it will sell descent aswell look what jd did with bone crusher and he cant even rap.

sales wise, with JD promoting it, Daz will do better.  However as for the album itself, I think Kurupt's album will be better musically.  He has more to prove than Daz and I think it'll show on his album

Sales wise i predict neither album will go Gold.

Music wise I'll bet any money kurupts album will be hotter, just look at the collabos recently-Daz is fucking with JD, BoneCrusher, J Kwon and Jaggedd Edge???

Kurupt is doing shit with Cormega, Jayo Felony, Mobb Deep and MOP.I know which one im picking up, against tha grain 4 sure.

Yeah, and that collaboration with Cormega was wack.  Like I said in its related post, If Kurupt keeps rhymin in that wack new flo he got, his album will be weak.  So far aint nothin changed so I dont see how the album will be any different.  The beats im sure will  be tght, but I dont know if wel'l see the old kurupt back on this one, I hope so though.  Regardless, So So Def knows how to push records.  Just look at chingy, bow-wow, jagged edge.  And Ive seen and heard bonecrusher, bow wow, and jagged edge, way more on the radio and video than E-40, and knoc. No question, its a rap Cuzz.  I really dont care if nobody from the west is on the album, as long as there aint too many other people on the album as well. And as long as Daz is producin and rappin.  An 80% Daz CD is all Im really lookin for.  Anything less would be dissapointing.
Dont forget Daz has had his hand in the majority of hits that came out of death row when we was runnin thangs.  People forget quick.  Plus the single is hot.  Im takin Daz all the way.  And what CD yall got by Daz that was soft?  Did I miss an album? Where you guys gettin this stuff from?  Daz keeps it gangsta every album.  And who says Daz aint got as much to prove as Kurupt.  This is Daz first mainstream album from the independent underground scene and is back to producing in a major studio since the golden era at the row.  He gotta prove to some of yall suckheadz that he can produce hitz, and it wasnt all Mike Dean and Dre n dem.  But bottom line, I could care less who sells more tho.  I really hope they both do well.  But some of yall gotta quit with that ignorant ish.  Daz's album soft.  Dont even let me get started on "Its over Now" with Natima or whoever

I've always been a huge fan of Kurupt and Daz, but I've always liked Kurupt more.  For these new albums, I think "Against the Grain" will be better because Kurupt has never disappointed with a solo release (The Originals doesn't count, it wasn't even an offical album).  Even when on his own DPG Recordz, Daz disappointed with "This Is The Life I Lead."  I think "RAW" was a very solid album, but "DPGC" lost major points with me considering he didn't produce any on the CD himself and that he recycled his old lyrics.  Also, Kurupt is obviously the better lyricist and has always been noted for his rapping skills alone, while Daz has always been sorta the producer.
Against the Grain will be strictly a West Coast CD, and thats what I'm looking for.  I think So So Gangsta will be dope too if it keeps a psuedo-West Coast vibe.  If he turns crunk, the Cd WILL go down the shitter.  However, I've always been a fan of JD, and even though the people on his label (Youngbloodz, J-Kwon, BoneEater) tend to have shitty production, JD's solos all have solid party-type production that don't really sound Southern at all.  I still bump "Life In 1472," and to me JD has always been West-influenced in his beats (remember when he started with Kriss Kross and Da Brat?  That was all West Coast shit!)

Daz is a better MC than Kurupt nowadays and Kurupt is just a bum now. to me it doesnt matter whos featured on SSG as long as Daz does his thing. I'm pretty sure anything Death Row puts out is suspicious, like the track with 2Pac.

Anyway Daz wont sell becuase he wont sell out, but Suge will have Kurupt do anything he wants.
