What the fuck did Peyton do to choke?  If it wasnt for Peyton, the Colts wouldnt even be in position to tie the game in the end.  It's not peyton's fault their O-line stunk it up.

that was a crazy game.....the ref blew that call when Palimaulou picked off Peyton and he ruled it an incomplete pass.....wtf ???  it shoulda never even got to 21-18...steelers shoulda had the ball back up 21-10 with 4 minutes left but the ref fucked up that call bigtime.

its a team game, and peyton is the leader on the field.  Thus peyton choked.  Plus it wasnt for that fact that the Troy Polamalu INT was changed to a incomplete pass, the game wouldnt even have been that close.  And in imo that was an INT.  The colts were lucky the final score was 21-18 and even luckier that they were in the position to tie the game up with a minute left.

good article on peyton and the colts choking, granted javi it wasnt all Peytons fault but in the first 3 quarters he really didnt do much to carry his own weight either.

Playoff jinx continues for Manning
Posted: Sunday January 15, 2006 5:19PM; Updated: Sunday January 15, 2006 5:19PM

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Peyton Manning never got comfortable against the Pittsburgh Steelers -- not in the pocket, not in the fourth quarter, not in the 2-minute drill.

He's not going to the Super Bowl this season, either.

Manning and the Colts opened 13-0 to earn the AFC's top seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. And with New England already eliminated, the two-time MVP finally seemed primed to lead Indianapolis to a Super Bowl. But even his late rally couldn't save the Colts, who lost 21-18 Sunday to a Pittsburgh team the high-scoring Colts had toyed with in late November.

For Manning, it was another frustrating playoff exit. But it was more than that: It was a blown chance, perhaps his best chance yet of reaching the Super Bowl.

He was blitzed, chased and out-of-sync. A last gasp nearly put the Colts in position to force overtime -- but Mike Vanderjagt's 46-yard field goal sailed wide with 17 seconds to go.

The sharp, crisp throws that have defined Manning's career were missing in the first three quarters, when the Colts fell far behind. Instead, Manning was plagued by overthrows, wide throws and pressure. He finished 22-of-38 for 290 yards with one touchdown, five sacks and countless hurries.

It wasn't all Manning's fault, to be sure. Tarik Glenn was called for two false starts, one that cost Indianapolis a touchdown. Vanderjagt missed the field goal after a gift fumble by Jerome Bettis. Receivers broke off routes short when Manning expected them to run deeper. Edgerrin James was held mostly in check, and Pittsburgh rattled the Colts' defense with two early touchdown drives.

But, as often happens, the burden fell to Manning. And this time, he couldn't save his team.

The Colts' high-scoring offense opened the game with four straight punts. They managed one first down -- on a one-handed catch by Marvin Harrison -- and only 25 total yards in the first quarter.

Manning stabilized the Colts by leading them on a 96-yard drive in the second quarter, but they settled for a 20-yard field goal after Glenn's miscue on third-and-goal from the 1 cost them a touchdown. He hooked up with Dallas Clark on a nifty, 50-yard TD pass early in the fourth quarter to make it 21-10.

And Manning delivered again with a six-play, 80-yard drive after an interception call was curiously reversed. James eventually ran 3 yards for the TD and Manning threw to Reggie Wayne on a 2-point conversion to make it 21-18.

Then, with the season on the line, Manning drove the Colts to the Pittsburgh 28 but missed on two straight throws to Wayne. Vanderjagt's miss sealed the Colts' fate again -- and left Manning wincing on the sidelines with another playoff loss.

Sums up why it isnt Peyton's fault.  Is Manning suppose to block, play D, write up the protection schemes, and kick a FG since hes the leader?

well playing very un peyton like in the first 3 quarters is his fault.  Throwing a ball that should of been a INT is his fault.  If that ball is a INT the game is 21-10 maybe it becomes a blow out.  This is just as much peytons fault as the O line, just as much as vanderjact.  Hell Dan Marino stats wise is the greatest QB to ever live, he never won a big game either even though it was his fault, he never had a running game.  bottom line though he was always held accountable for it.  Well Peyton is also held accountable for it.  Thats the way it is in football.

Peyton had the "Oh Shit" look on his face all day today.  Dude just looked really nervous and over thought everything rather than just play the game.

Fuck the Steelers by the way.

It seemed the officails were going indis way the whole time. first off tehre was a obvious pass interference that was not called, then indi jumped becuase they thought they saw somoen on the steelers move but the officails said the steelers didnt jump and they didnt even call a penalty on indi for jumping offside i mean wth is that then the biggest play of all that gave indi a chance to tie the game was teh INT by Polamalu it was clearly an Interception. I dont know wat the hell was going on but thnakfully the stellers still won.
