Classic Album.
« on: June 17, 2006, 10:02:03 PM »

This Classic Album was released way back on 6/23/2004. Originaly to be released in October 2003. It contains Mannie Freshs Freshest Beats to date and Lil' Waynes hottest lyriics. It was delayed due to the fact that Lil' Waynes group, Tha Sqad, left Cash Money/Young Money unexpectedly (oh well they weren't the best rappers he could have cliqued up with, check for Currency Tha Hot Spitta in 2006.) The gap between 10/03 and 06/04 wasfilled in with 2 mixtapes, Tha Drought (not too shabby) in Febuary 2004 and Tha Prefix (Pure Columbian Cocaine) in May 2004. From the moment you press play you slip into amazement, this isn't the same Weezy F. Baby from 500 Degreez. This is better than Young Raw Tune from the SQ tapes. He seems more focused and ready to prove something. After all he was coming fresh off of disses from former Hot Boys B.G. and Juvenile. This album is the first time Wayne claims the title of 'The Best Rapper Alive' and he does back it up.The production coming mainly from heavywieght Mannie Fresh with new comers Raj Smooth and Bat Man (The Arcitecs are listed but thier tracks were replaced ith Mannies Tracks).

Just Some Tracks To Look For:

1. The Intro- Walk In
Straight Piff, Mannie Freshs Best Beat Ever. No Lying. Sets up the concept of the album. You know what they say: Tight Into, Tight Album

2. Go DJ
Another hot beat from Fresh, Crazy Lyric from Wayne, 2nd single

4.BM J.R.
Produced By Mannie and Bat Man, No hook Straight spittin.

6. I Miss My Dawgs F/ Reel
Heartfelt song about the Hot Boys. You just gotta hear it.

7. We Don't F/Baby
Hot Lyrics, even from Baby (Wayne Must have wrote it).

9. Tha Heat
Street Anthem everywhere I went I heard this song.

12. Bring It Back F/ Mannie Fresh
1st single (2nd if you count the omitted original 1st single "Get Something" F/ Mannie Fresh) Straight Club Banger

16. Snitch
Talkng about sniches before it was cool to talk about not snitching. Trendsetting.

19. Earthquake F/Jazzie Pha
Great remake. Great last minute addition.

Thats just some of the tracks. All of them are hot.

Check out the original first single (10/2003) that was left off of the album.

All I have in this world is a pistol and a promise
A fist full of dollars, a list full of problems
I'll address them like P.O. Boxes
Yeah I'm from New Orleans, the Creole cockpit
We so out of it, zero tolerance
Gangsta gumbo, I'll serve 'em a pot of it
I'm wealthy, still fuckin wit that block shit
Wet your ass up, head to feet til your sock a drip
Don't trip, you might fall and bust your ass
No snakes at the carter, tell the gardener to cut the grass
I hear 'em but they talking under masks
Stop throwing pebbles at a bulletproof glass
That's Cash Money, honey pie
We ain't runnin, we don't hide screaming fuck the other side
Don't get caught on it, this the dailiest grind
I'll put your heart on it and walk on it
The chalks only for the art homie
How they trace ya after I erase ya
Look around, we at war and you still in preparation
I'm riding for them reperations, No patience
Slow paper is better than no paper
Fast money don't last too long, you gotta pace it
You gotta know that paper
If you got it from a caper, you gotta blow that paper
Gotta know that photo fobia, no kodak moments
Feds walls with my pictures on 'em
Nah, I ain't even in the school yearbook
I don't do too much posin, got a cool killer look
Career crook, get your career took
I'm back like a brizeer hook
Bitch cheer, camoflauge gear, the hunter's here
Better play it by ear, you ain't nothing but a deer
Around here and this here is The Carter
Serve it while it's hot out the pot to your mama
And Slim tell me ain't nobody hotter
But get your boys some dipping sauce, I want the whole enchilada
I got 'em by the collar, watch me drop 'em
On the head at the bottom
You ain't gotta shoot 'em cause I already shot 'em
And I ain't gotta get 'em cause I already got 'em
Get 'em

This was a pretty sick album. I wasn't even a fan of his. Plus, he's down with the movement, so it's all to the good.

"Hoes" is probably one of my favorite songs.  The production on that is fuckin Fresh.  Mannie Fresh.  Hah, wow that was gay.
