Is this the best NBA trade ever?

I really think it is,
Portland trades Jermaine O'Neal
Indiana trades Dale Davis

This has to be the most lopsided trade ever, JO has gone on to 5 straight All Star games (started in 3) and is a lock for 20 and 10 with over 2 blocks a game and is still just 27, Portland got robbed!

How 'bout...

Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac
Scottie Pippen for Olden Polynice
Dirk Nowitzki & Pat Garrity for Robert Traylor
Kareem Abdul-Jabar for Junior Bridgeman, Elmore Smith, Dave Meyers, and Brian Winters
Wilt Chamberlain for Jerry Chambers, Archie Clark and Darrall Imhoff
etc.

There have definitely been some HORRIBLE trades in the past...

at the time it was the trade to be made. of corse indiana came up big time , but at the time it was an even trade

would i have made that trade? an aging role player with a downward spiral or a young role player with a potential future, naw.

but i can see why the trade was made, portland was trying for something RIGHT NOW AND THEN, trying to stay relavant with the lakers and kings by getting a vet role player to help them win games. Indiana wanted change, jermaine o'neal was at the same time of the same caliber, and if he didn't become what he became, they didn't lose anything

Yeah the Kobe trade was just as good cause Kobe is legendary but at least Vlade was pretty good himself, JO is great and Dale Davis is trash, so your right the gap is about the same, both extremely lopsided trades

Sorry, Dale Davis wasn't trash...His career numbers are very comparable to Vlade's. Kobe for Vlade was a much more lop-sided trade...PeACe

kobe for vlade at the time was viewed as bad at first for the lakers but it turned out to be one of the best trades ever for them.

pippen for olden was always a bad trade, when you look at both of them in college why would get rid a pippen?

robert traylor has been the biggest bust....and i'm not just talking about his chest size.  :P

anytime you trade your superstar center away for three role players=bad

Umm as a lifelong Pacer fan believe me I have seen plenty of Dale Davis and yes he was a ok backup but Vlade was MUCH, MUCH better

MUCH, MUCH better?

Vlade Divac
Position: Center
Height: 7'1"
Career: 16 Seasons
PPG: 11.8
FG%: 49.5%
RPG: 8.2
APG: 3.1
MPG: 29.8

Dale Davis:
Position: C-F
Height: 6'11"
Career: 15 Seasons
PPG: 8.2
FG%: 53.1%
RPG: 8.1
APG: 1.0
MPG: 27.8

As you can see, they are very comparable. Divac was probably better, but in no way can a player be trash and last 15 seasons...PeACe

I am biased? LMFAO. You just said Jemraine O'Neal for Dale Davis is equal to Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac because you're a Pacers fan...LOL. You also started by saying Divac was "SIGNIFICANTLY" better than Davis, than said they were "comparable"...Straight weaksauce, son. Anyone in their right mind knows which was the more lop-sided trade, even Pacer fans would choose the Kobe trade... ::)
