when it was released I felt that it was a classic... but seven years later i don't think so. There's 4-5 tracks I don't like at all (mostly because of the beats, i.e. Trylogy), Kurupt spat heat trough the whole album, but IMO the production isn't as timeless as a classic should have. Space Boogy got better production, but Kurupt's worse on it, too bad.

Tryology? You didnt like that? Yeah the beat was kind of odd, but man he ripped it to shreds. I liked EVERY SONG! Great Cd! "Step up" Kurupt comes off again. Then You gotta love LIVE ON THE MIC where him and Krs go back and forth for like 6 mins, just killin the beat.

This was not a classic album, not even a West Coast classic...It was a good album and a good change up from whatever "Kuruption" was suppose to be....I wasn't diggin a couple of songs off the album and a couple of the songs could have been left off alltogether, good album nonetheless.

Kuruption's westcoast disc was crack.  That shit is still dope to this day.  The Eastcoast disc was whatever but the westcoast one?  That album as bangers for days.

The east Coast cd was tight, Kurupt was on point on that cd for sure and two of the best if not the 2 best songs from the cd were on the eastcoast cd GAME and ITS A SETUP. Everyone sleepin on the east coast cd.

I agree the east coast cd on kuruption was banging.  I always have and I always will love Kuruption, Streetz, and Space Boogie! 3 of the tightest albums ever imo

This album is a classic to me. You can tell he started decline on this album lyrially, he wasn't on the Dogg Food level but this album was put together better than Dogg Food and it just sounded gutter and raw and Kurupt sounded angry as fuck throughout the album. Especially a track like Trylogy, that shit was grimy as fuck, I loved that shit. The whole album was grimy.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

Yeah I feel you but I still thought Kurupt was lyrical as fuck on this album.  Its such a great cd, I consider it a 5/5 classic!

dope album, although I don't think I would consider it a classic.  I always like Retaliation, Revenge, and Get Back a lot more, and I consider that album a classic.

this is without a doubt though kurupts best album.  He really should have dropped a solo on deathrow in 94.  That would have been one of the best albums ever.

I think Kuruption was a little ahead of its time. Alot of people were still on that East West bullshit and it was on the heels of WSCG and 2pac/Death Row. Honestly this was the start of the decline. Tha Streetz was a return to DPG shit. Kuruption's west coast cd had Daz on it but the sound was a little different than DP. And that was the 1st album that Kurupt started using different producers. The fans were starving for some DPGC shit and that was what Tha Streetz was and still is. Soopa said it best on that album. Individually we the shit, but together we can't be fucked with!!! Gotti's whole rhyme scheme just were not as sharp on some tracks here and there on both albums. but Trylogy is still to me one of the Rawest freestyles I have ever heard. That shit was crazy.

I was not a big fan of Your Girlfriend lyrically, I thought KRS One out freestyled him but how many mcs can outrap KRS. And I really thought Callin Out Names is overrated. Cool song but nothin classic to me. Other than that, Tha Streetz is still a bangin album.

Yeah it was a dope album, i say one or 2 song short of being a classic but it was hella tight , i thought with that record, all the spots on 2001 he was about to blopw up and the next guy form the west or even to bring the wets back.
Dope album
Every album CANT BE 5 out of 5.
