Weird Al Rules the World

"Straight Outta Lynwood" is Weird Al's newest album, lol.

Anyways,

This spring, Weird Al recorded 'you're Pitiful", his version of "You're Beautiful" by David whatever the fuck that loser's name is.

Anyways, the guy pitched a big fit and wouldn't let him release it on his album.  So Weird Al released it for free on his website.  I'd say one of his best songs yet, lol.

this shit is great, I can't believe he can actually sing that good.

Anyways, this is just like Coolio, who pitched a fit when he heard "Amish Paradise" which is a remake of gangster's paradise (which Coolio himself stole from someone else).

This is also just like Eminem, who wouldn't give Al permission to do a parody video of "Lose Yourself" called "Couch Potato", even though Em has made his career off of making fun of people.

Also, Weezer refused to give him permission to put "Buddy Holly" in his "Alternative Polka" years ago.  Bitches.

Weird Al famously got Michael Jackson's permission before he made "Eat It" (beat it), and "I'm Fat" (Bad)... Michael liked the songs so much he even let Weird Al use the same subway set he had built for the "moonwalker" video to record "I'm Fat" in.

He is one of the most creative people in the industry. I view parodies as an honor. It's shows the popularity of the original song.

Yeah, I'd be extremely excited if I was a musician and he did a song of mine.  That would be a hell of an honor.

When Madonna did "Like A Virgin", she was waking down the street one day in NY with her friends, and said "I wonder when Weird Al is gonna do 'Like a Surgeon' ?" and they all laughed about it... well, one of her friends that was there knew Weird Al and told him about it, so he wrote "Like a Surgeon" as kind of a present to Madonna.

Like I said, Michael Jackson loved his versions of his songs, too.
