Wasn't exposed to much 80s rap when I was a lil bloke. Had no older siblings to steal tapes from, lol. I exposed my lil bros who are 10years younger than I am, to a gang of shit though.

I was always into hiphop from a young age, but once i heard What's My Name by Snoop, it was OVER.  Became OBSESSED after that.

Last couple of years i haven't really been down with hiphop like THAT, but two new Roots songs have made me love the game again, "Long Time" and "Can't Stop This"

i first got into rap because my big bro bought 2001 and marshall mathers lp
i started to listsen to whatever music my big brother bought, fx xzibit.. it was alot of westcoast i think
so for some time i wasnt that much into hiphop i was just listening to what my brother had
but what really made me get more into hiphop was actually Get Rich Or Die Tring.. when that came out i was all crazy about G-Unit.. and that got me into checking for more rap music and i started getting more in to it and getting on forums online..
it was "Masta Ace - Take A Walk" that made me take the step into what i would call "Real Hip-Hop", and that is only about 2 years ago.. from that time on i just started moving more and more away from the mainstream. And i'm glad i did..

so hurray for 50 cent.. without him i might not even be here hehe

Coolio got me checkin for any rap my brother had... I was about 4 or 5 at the time, he was 12 or 13. Finally started checkin for my own stuff with like 2001, MMLP, GRODT on Napster/Kazaa or whatever was there... But right when I heard In Da Club & Wanksta, i went out and downloaded a nice chunk of albums

in fact, when I came to dubcnn I was still a g-unit groupie, lol, i was about 14-15
