Whos knowledgable about cars?

Okay so I have a 2001 mitisbushi galant es. When I drive I noticed that the temp. of the car reaches up to the red line. So that forces me to put the heat on and when I do that it lowers but not to where it should be. Also when I have my AC everything is straight as long as im accelerating and driving but when I come to a red light hot air starts coming out. I thought it could be the themostat So i got that changed brand knew but that wasnt it. Any ideas anybody? much appreciated

Try Coolant in your radiator. Its Mitsubishi so im going to say you need Drexcool. Theres only two kinds; green and red. You should use the red one

just drive as is

Don't drive it as it is because you'll overheat and possibly blow your head gasket. Which is a huge job that'll make you decide if you want to junk it or not.
