Whoo Kid Performing In India For The First Time

Hip Hop is thriving the world over and India is no exception. MTV Asia is currently readying their 2nd annual Awards show with a month-long club celebration appropriately entitled Hip Hop Hustle, and who better to get the party started than G-Unit's own DJ Whoo Kid - the first US rap performer to be invited to perform in that country. The two events at which Whoo Kid will perform sets, tailored to his Indian audiences, will take place at Enigma in the newly renamed city of Mumbai (formerly Bombay) on the 19th of October and Elevate in New Delhi on the 21st. Parties like this taking place in various Indian cities lead up to the main event at which G-Unit family members Mobb Deep are scheduled to perform, early in November. Artists currently popular with club-goers in India include 50 Cent, Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Pussycat Dolls, Daddy Yankee, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and of course, Tupac.

The two India stops are part of Whoo Kid's 22 city world tour (POW! Tour) which he embarked upon at the beginning of this month. Tour stops include cities in Germany, France and Belgium before Whoo Kid meets up with 50 and the G-Unit family for concerts in Finland and Sweden. Other stops on the tour include rocking the house at Club Trilogy in Dubai and deejaying before a crowd of 5,000, including many members of the the royal family, at the UEA Beach Party in Bahrain. Never one to miss a marketing opportunity, Whoo Kid will be handing out over 15,000 mixtapes over the course of his journeys, ensuring that he will be invited back again and again!
