whatever....jay-z is a POP icon he ain't gonna come back harder than nas but i ain't gonna be biase so we'll see...

Tupac had just as much, if not more pop crossover appeal. Let's not take a fan base and use that as reason to dislike an artist.

I to da Geezy, how old are you?  Did you just start listening to hip hop or what?  Cuz i know you arent saying It was Written is shit, are you?
Damn, i bought Illmatic when it came out and it was amazing.  When It Was WRitten came out, it was different, but nevertheless a GREAT album.  The MEssage, Take It in Blood, I Gave You Power, Affirmative Action, etc, are all great song.  On this album, Nas did go commercial but he did it the right way.  On I Am and Nastradamus, he slipped definitely, but I Am is definitely not wack I Geezy.  The problem with NAs is everyone wants him to do the first album, but how the fuck is he supposed to do that?  If he does, it will only sell gold (DId you know Illmatic only recently went platinum?).  If Nas goes commercial, he gets dissed too, it sucks for him.
I got a question for you I Geezy....Have you actually listened to Reasonable Doubt by Jay Z?  Cuz you talk about JAy going R&B, but damn, he always has been....Feelin It and especially Ain't No Nigga with Foxxy Brown were blatantly commercial.

aint no personal beef between nas & jay z. its strictly business (the 'gangsta' way).

jay-z claimed he saw nas's brother at the airport when he was heading for europe and nas's brother was according to jay-z's 'cool and smiling' and said to jay - you know we have to come back at you. its all about business babbbyyyyyyyy!!!

jay-z was not worried by nas but when asked about mobb deep he was like 'whats gonna happen is gonna happen - it's fate and i aint gonna stop doing my thing because of them'.

Yo, I to the Geezy, sorry about that.  By the way i've been listening to hip hop since like 92, and i am 21 now.
Sorry about the confusion, my bad.  I think i misread cuz your style of writing is a bit awkward, and i misunderstood what you were saying.....again, my bad!
Anyway, i think It was Written was  great, just not like Illmatic was great, ya know?  I hope Nas new album will be incredible, but i gotta feeling it will be more It Was Written than Illmatic.......

I Geezy, i checked the review, it said about what i thought it would say......
I know what you mean, this album is not Illmatic 2, but it is still dope.  They act as if rhyming along side AZ was a step down from rhyming with Akinleye, as if they never heard AZ on Life's a Bitch (one of the best verses of all time).  To me, this reviewer jsut wanted some true blue hiphop, and didn't wanna see NAs expand and sell a few records.
Ya, i hate the Trackmasters as much as the next guy.....but you can't deny THE MESSAGE, a classic song definitely.
People weren't expecting this type of album from Nas, and that is why everyone was disappointed.  If you ask a lot of Nas fans nowadays, they will tell you It Was Written was actually a very dope album, with a few major flaws (no Pete Rock or Extra P beats, and Foxy Brown on there, and especially that horrible Dre beat).
If you honestly believe this album is 5/10 like the reviewer, then you are entitled to that opinion....but i am curious to know what type of albums you think are better (Cuz you must liek almost every other album ever made more than this).  I honestly think this album is a solid 4/5.  PEACE

lol....and Im non listenin....???....if you"d notice shitz you"d know dat on dat "dickridaz" thread dat waz a while ago
peepz named who they think iz every rappaz dick rida......so
almost all peepz put me on jigga....and i waznt mad.....all peepz waz admittin whose dickridaz they waz..lol...so let me tell ya somethin....tha only reason peepz iz callin me a jay-z dick rida (witch im not bothered by)...iz only cauze jigga waz gettin too much hatin over here..and i waz one of tha most active peepz defendin hiz name.....cauze true headz cant diss jigga like dis (witch meanz ya ain...not even close...ya too dumb fo dat).....he got too much skill...and dat what i waz sayin......YA WANNA KNOW WHAtZ IGNORENT??? callin jigga poppy iz ignorant....you said you ain a blind NAS dick licka by sayin you waz a fan of jiggaz work on hiz RB cd and on VOL1
.....so if you ain...WHY YOU CALLIN JAY Z, gay-z?.......funny how ya contredict yoself wit yo postz.....
IGNORENT iz changin tha topic to my typin.....(i don blame you tho...when you ain got no factz you change tha topic).....
you say i ain reaDIN WHAT YA SAYIN...but datz what you do.....
i ain blind dickridin" i said Illmatic waz hot....and i said ether iz a tight diss piece.....
but as for "it waz written" (and da shit dat followed)....pure trash ......
TEECEE (i ain mad at ya cauze of dat missread shit...so iz coo" aight?)....itz funny how nas fanz say "it waz written" waz diffrend....but still very good (from what it waz far from imo)....whatz bout jiggaz vol3? it waz diffrend from jiggaz previous shit....and it waz great (4.5\5 imo)....but peepz iz all hatin on dat piece.....tha piece had some of jiggaz best rhymes....and i truelly don get how peepz say they like it waz written but hate on much much  much.....much better jigga albumz.....
and too answer yo question bout what albumz i think iz better....first i don think anythang else in tha industry iz better.....im a very critical listener.....
so here...east and west albumz dat iz so above written dat they don even know it exists (lol)....: in no paticular order
ILLmatic-nas himself
me against tha world-pac
ready to die-big
ALL EYEZ-pac
R.D -JIGGA
VOL3-JIGGA
BLUEPRINT -JIGGA
THA DK....makaveli
this all iz cllassicz and near classicz and haz nothin close to do wit "written"....itz strictly fo those who consider it great

here iz some everege pieces dat iz much better:
life after death
B.R.....life story
ice cube...war and peace both diskz
pacz- r u still down (even tho itz a buch of unfunished matirial...)
