Dr. Dre - On the MIC
« on: December 07, 2001, 12:48:22 AM »
Just wanted to make a couple of points regarding the BET top 50 MC's and Dr. Dre.

We all know that Dre is a producer first and foremost. However, I think he is underrated as a rapper.  In my opinion, Dre should have been on the list instead of Eazy E, Luke, and Master P.

Dre is at least as good as Eazy. While neither one is a great writer,(that's why they have people write for them) Dre's voice and delivery are much better.

Luke Campbell. Luke is an entertainer pure and simple. He should be on any lists as one of  hip hop's great entertainer's but not as an MC

Master P.  What a joke.  The only list he should be on is best businessman in the hip hop game.

Post your opinions.

I look forward to Dre on mic even more now.  His verse on "Your Wife" is his best since "2001" I think.  Good job Knoc.

Why do ppl always try to make up excuses as to why ppl dislike Dre, Snoop or Tupac....have you ever had the idea that maybe it is becos they jsut don't feel them

And in this case you wrong with me....I never liked Dre as a rapper before I found out he didn't write his own rhymes....then when i found out...I lsot even more respect for the guy.

I like the way dre sounds on the mic, i kno he isn't no MC at all but still its cool
and also although he doesn't write his own lyrics but at least his voice isnt anything like ja rule's or nelly's which is just annoying

I agree on all the points you make, I did like eazy tho. Even if he had a fucked up voice and (probably) had all his lyrics written for him, he always had a brilliant sense of humour.
