I thought the album was totally average - a few of the beats were nice but Banks was crap on nearly every track.

There was nothing here to rival 'Til The End' on HFM - that was Banks at his best IMO.

1 month later...I still prefer "Hunger For More".  The fact this album is "grimier" makes little difference...it just ain't nothing but average East Coast shit to me.

Promotion was not this album's problem - G-Unit is simply losing steam, so it's inevitable that this album would flop.

As in what ? Lyrics ? Hell no. Lyrically hes better on this one than on HFM. The only thing that changed in a negative way is delivery, but that has never been his strong weapon

Just responding purely to what you said about the criticism that Mobb Deep's album got, for me their production is good but they can't rap for shit anymore, the flow is just horrible and the lyrics even worse, it's hard to believe these were the same guys who made the infamous and hell on earth, havent listened to murder muzik but they should give up, they really are fucking up the name they had.

Because its normal to say youre not feeling Banks or his style but to say he is wack is a no no.

Lyrically he still shits on most of the commercial rappers out there.

You see Banks new video? wow what wackness.

The video sucks, but that song is still nice, if you'd just turn your tv off for a few minutes and check out some albums instead you can talk...

I meant delivery - on some of the songs he sounds like he's struggling to stay with the beat to me.

The problem than is that when the delivery is so poor I can't be bothered to listen to the lyrics. Even having said that, from what I recall they were nothing special. Banks is simply not an impressive lyricist in my opinion. It's the same old gun talk and 'clever' similes.

I'd be surprised if I ever pop 'Rotten Apple' in the deck again to be fair - I really think his first was better.

the fuck!! this is a 3.25 outta 5 album..........4.25/5.............u by yourself their homie, probably some banks fans may agree wit ya but noone in their right mind gone give this anything mo than a 3.25/5............hunger for more was garbage, but on some tracks, the vibe was aight, this album is maybe mo consistant from top to bottom but its still terrible.......

lyrically banks is average, yes no one doubts he drops nice metaphors but how far is that gon get him, he gotta connect with the listener, drop shit people listen to, that is true great lyricism, not a whole album marketing gunit, how much oney he got, yes their is stories in the album to, but he has nothing to talk about, he has no replay value, no charisma, his delivery is terrible.........

banks is wack.......like the other homie said, if fab puts a nigga to sleep, than this nigga gon kill you.........

people who go on like banks is amazing lyrically kill me cuz they dont know shit, yes he use to have mad real potential to become a real nice lyricist, but he went off track big time..........hunger for more, now this.........and on beg for mercy buck outshone him...........his over.....he didnt go forwards, that nigga went rolling down a hill.

its like people who say obie is a amazing lyricist......that shit is joke, yeah he a nice writer.....but its these white boys who only listen to shady records who go on like his shit is amazing, nobody else really feeling obie, he killed some tracks on 2nd rounds on me, but everyrapper, wack or dope kills a few tracks per album.........these niggas aint shit

if you wanna speak about gunit, its all about buck.........but i dunno if he gon follow up straight outta cashville with mo heat because this time people expect him to drop heat, last time noone was expecting anything from him.  Thats what impressed me hella about game, he came through on his second album against all odds, imma see if buck, with everything he has at his disposal, can drop heat 2nd time round..........and 50 should def drop a solid album.......he been working on his album for a long time

oh and about blood money, most mobb fans will tell you this is arguebaly their worst effort.......it was garbage......since when can a street album or a grimey album not be wack.......yes blood money wasnt pop or real commercial......but it was pretty weak for these niggas to move to gunit for........album sounded washed up top to bottom so did havoc and p......havoc was weak behind the boards......aight on the mic.....p was dissapointing on the mic

peace

i finished listening to the album

i didnt think it was as bad as everyone made it out to be
but its also not as special others made it out to be

some songs were terrible that i forwarded through after bout 30 seconds (e.g. Playboy 2)
others were pretty good (e.g. Addicted)

id prolly say this is a 3 or 3.5 outta 5
