i saw in a future shop flyer that doc's advocate is selling for only $9.99(Cdn)... which means its what, around 8 bucks american, he cant be making much money off this... or is it just some kinda promotion/

One stop shopping. No need to go to the record store anymore, when you have everything at Wal-Mart or Target. Hell K-Mart even has cheap cds. They are one of the main reasons these record stores cannot keep up. They can afford to sell it that cheap. Wal Mart and Best Buy sell HDTV's and computers for hundreds of dollars so they aint sweating low album sales. And if they are they will just drop the price again.

Yea basically shops buy the album in bulk for a fixed price (getting a discount) then sell them for cheap, still making a fair bit of profit, this is meant to attract more people but im not sure if it works? Ino Tesco (supermarket) does this with ps2 games, i managed to bag my nu Pro Evo 6 for a mere £20 wen the RRp is £39.99....
