Outkast did not fall off...ANDRE fell off.  Big Boi is still as good as he ever was.  But Andre's become full of himself and is making shitty music.  This whole excuse of "well, he's just gotten tired of hip-hop and wants to branch out" doesn't cut it; regardless of what Andre feels, the fact is that his music is wack.  It may be unique, it may be creative...but it's not fucking listenable.

Couldn't have put it better myself.  Andre doing his quasi-Prince antics shit would be like Prince fans having to put up with Prince suddenly deciding he wanted to be a gangsta rapper and doing songs about low-lows, blunts, and grillz.

Idlewild was just a movie soundtrack, and it contained many blues songs so i wasnt expecting to sell a lot. I still like Outkast, nobody like them in hip hop, and one of my favourite bands.

Andre lost his desire for hip-hop after the Stankonia album; and his strength was as an emcee and not as a played out Lenny Kravitz.  I think the success of their "Love Below" album was a fluke.  They are done.  But still, 4 great albums is better than any other hip-hop group has been able to achieve.  Like they said on the track Aquemini; "Nothing last forever".

All Kast albums before that are classic. Idlewood was pathetic, bought it for $10 and i had to chuck it out the window of the whip in disgust.

Andre is a damn genius. You'll figure it out after he's dead, like most great artists. Big Boi is the solid "regular" rapper that brings the balance from andre "out there" shit.

I never said just being different makes music good, I said if people took more chances like Outkast does, the music would definitely be better because everybody wouldnt just be copying each other. Originality might not be everything, but its definitely important. Just because juronimo from dubcc.com doesnt like something, doesnt make it bad music either.
