After weeks of listenting to this the only four tracks I'm not feeling are

"Black Republicans" (should have been better considering the hype),
"Still Dreaming" (doesn't get going, although Nas's verse is tight),
"Can't Kill Me" (worst track IMO),
"Blunt Ashes" (beat is too monotonous for me, concept of the lyrics is boring).

But goddamn, everything else on there is dope as hell. This is easily the most consistent album I bought last year, with Snoop's. The concept is amazing and nas's lyrics blow me away every time. A dope, dope CD.

Yeah, I live north of the Arctic Circle and it's kinda neat. daylight 24/7 :) u can really forget about the clock

The only ones I'm not feeling:

Blunt ashes-really boring production, which is a shame cause Nas rips it
let there be light-Again,Nas rips it but sounds just like 2pac's staring at the world through my rearview
not going back-Corny chorus, again Nas rips it

thoughts on others:
'who killed it' is a murder mystery, listen to it like that, sick as fuck.

still dreaming-dope as fuck, most melodic song on the album probably.  I don't see how it doesn't get going, but that's cool.

I guess I'm the only one getting all chilly when I hear "Can't Forget About You"? Maybe I'm just too stuck in jazz, that could explain.

who killed it is amazing once you understand it.

yeah, when i heard it  i thought it'd be cool if someone made a remix where those chicks singing "stay hip hop stay" and all that would be synched overn a drumbeat with nas doing his verse from Hope over the beat. those chicks singin' as the basis for a  beat with that verse would be fire I think. -T

Hell yeah that track is the shit, my favorite songs on the album are:
Can't Forget About You - That chick singin' on it is pretty dope, she has an old school type of singing, plus the production is nuts
Black Republicans - This is exactly what I had expected, the best rappers alive spittin' hot shit over a sick beat
Hustlers - Game comes hardcore on this, as well as Nas of course
Who Killed It? - This is some deep shit, I got it when I first heard it but Detox... clarified some shit for me, dope beat too
Hip Hop Is Dead - The title track is the shit, Nas comes back and releases a classic song

The only song I skip is the track with Kelis, but the this is definitely a classic album no doubt

Yeah, but I love the fact it's accapella. It forces you to pick up every word. The rhymes give me goosebumps when I hear it - takes me back to beiong a kid taping rap songs off the radio etc. Beautiful track.

Back on Still Dreaming - I guess the reason I'm not feeling it, if I really analyse it, is Kanye. I can't quite put my finger on it, but hearing him kick the first verse just kinda turns me off it from the start... and I'm generally a fan of him, just not this time. There's something missing for me there.

yeah I think Kanye should stay behind the boards and really get a good effort from the artist he's producing like with Dreams for example. that song is beautiful to me though. is that Kanye on the keys?

also, I agree Hope is awesome accapella but it'd be cool if the remix I described was like on a B-side or something.

Heard most of the album so far, and it's pretty incedible. I might put it above Doctor's Groupie.
