Well what sor of bass lines are you guys laying on your tracks??
Simple?..complex??

I often try and create an intro, middle then an outro..so it appears that the bass  is changing..This works well
but for some other tracks..it might not..

All i can really say, is when you have a bass line down, in what ever music program you are using-Reason,Pro Tools, Logic (which i use alot when im working with my guitarist) take some time out, and search the library for different bass sounds..

If You want a sub bass..try and look for  a weird sub bass sound..once you have it..open up the Eq..and mess around with..i.e add a little more bottom end... slice the top end off just a litte..
Also..if your keyboard has a "modulation Wheel"..then try and play around with that as the bass is playing, and you see the differecne it will amke to ur bass

Hope this helps... ;)

No prbs.. Did You try some of those tips man???

On Reason, what do you use for your bass??
Subtractor or NN-19?..or NN-XT?

I think if ya want that synth  bass sound, you can go for the Subtractor..cuz you have alot of different kinds of synth bass soudn to choose from..

Then of course if ya lookin for a real bass guitar sound..then i'd  recommend using the "Combinator" and selecting " Guitars and going into "Bass"..cuz what you get is the that close to "real-bass-player" sound.
It's really good if ya get your melody right, you can just about hear  little  "clip" and "swerve" sound..which mimics the sound that a real bassist would make when changing strings on a bass guitar..

Oh if ya want to be real inventive, you could  have both playing,..but having the synthi bass coming in after every four bars..or something....

Oh by the way..have you used any of the effects?
like Flanger?..Phaser?
try then out on your chosen bass melody and sound..adn see what changes they bring to your sounds..
Ya might just discover a new thumping funky bass line..

Hope this helps! ???

it'ds pretty easy..
it works the same way you use the other program on Reason..
Combinator is like a huge folder "Real-ish" instruments..
So try this..out..
Open up Re=dreum or Dr -Rex(oh what ever you use for your drums..
compose a simple drum loop..
Then comes the bass..

Add the combinator,  open the combinator file..choose..lets say guitars..
in guitars you have a choice, of either acoustics, metal or electric..which is just crazy..

But i'll be honest, it took awhile for me to get my head around it..
So take Ya time..

HAve you ever used this program called "Stylus Rmx" or "Groove Agent"

P.s Thats gurl on your Signature..it's really pretty!!!? :o
