Juvenile, who's last album Project English debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard Top 200 is readying the first release from his label, Uptown Project Records. The first project to drop from UTP is "Pimp Playas," by artist Skip.

The label is distributed by Orpheus/EMI. Undaunted by the problems that EMI seem to be having, Juvenile has set out to develop new and upcoming artists as well as put out quality recordings. "UTP is going to be a major player in the Rap/Hip-Hop game,'' Juvenile said.

UTP, financed by Juvenile and his brother Corey Gray, has releases coming from Wack-O, Corey C, Young Buck and Skip's debut, Live From Holly Grove. Skip has been seen with Juvenile in videos and on Juvenile's year long tour. Juvie is on the album and produced some of the album.

Juvenile is still signed to Cash Money Records, though he has vowed in recent interviews that he will not make any effort to put out any material, due to financial beefs between him and the CEO's of Cash Money, Brian "Baby" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams. Juvenile claims that the brothers have cheated him out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

When allhiphop.com caught up with the brothers and asked them of Juvenile's desire to leave the label. "Man Listen. No one leaves Cash Money Records," Baby said for the first time on record. "There is only one way to leave Cash Money Records. The way you walk in, aint gonna be the way you walk out."
