Hahahahah.

Great goaltending, great defence, didn't fall into "run & gun"

Contrary, Caps don't know how to grind, and have no good backup plan in case they aren't allowed to have free roam of the ice in the offensive zone.

Halak is the ONLY reason montreal won lets not kid ourselves, washington dominated the last 3 games it wasnt even close. But thats whats exciting about the playoffs,a goalie can get hot and take the series.

Nah, they really weren't.  Habs chose to play defensively on purpose to limit the Caps scoring chances.   And while the Caps did garner more shots than the Habs because of this and their overall offensive nature, alot of their shots were on the outside and not "scoring chances".

When the Habs did get in for an opportunity on Varlamov, it was a decent scoring chance, I had them tied for most of the games, except for the last minute of a few games where Caps had an extra attacker..

We all knew this could happen with Washington coming into the playoffs.  You can't expect to trailblaze your way through a game in the post season, and I'm glad Habs coach and roster realized Caps weaknesses and exploited them to sneak by.

The whole team played a perfect system, especially in PK. It's not the thing of one guy, Gill, Gorges and Cammalleri are the heroes of the series too.  8)

So in the last three games washington outshoots montreal 132-66,outhit,outchance and outskated them but somehow they played a perfect game to beat washington?Come on,get real, washington carried teh play every period.Montreal won because of halaks play,no other reason. He played out of his mind and stole the series, montreal had no business winning. If he even lets in one soft goal or doesnt make one of the the many miraclous saves he made they lose.

yea, I'd say Halak stole this series too. He was unbelievable. Washington was all over Montreal.
