Trouble Gon' Get Ya
« on: February 15, 2007, 02:45:50 PM »
I'm in High School wit a D+ grade
And at the end of the day, I ain't ashamed
I walk home from school to my moms apartment
No books, no work, all that school yard shit, I ain't part of it
Step in the door, throw my shit around, take the chair and sit down
Than about two minutes later I hear the siren sounds
So I walk outside and see a boy chilling in the back of the car
Staring down at his feet, he lookin' pretty hard
His fam comes runnin', mother askin' 'where you taking my son'?
He's goin' downtown, 5 months he's been on the run
The nigga never went to school, he always hangin' wit his crew
He was gettin' money sellin' drugs and he loved breakin' the rules
Passed his curfew, always disrespecting his mother so nasty words flew
He laughed off what people told him to do, an' his brother was that dude
So before he drove off he huged his mother, gave a look to his brother
And then they drove away while his moms cryed up a puddle
I shook my head, went back inside and was ashamed of what I seen
I figured another day, another problem but the same ol' scene

[Chorus:]
Trouble Gon' Get Ya             Trouble Gon' Get Ya
Trouble Gon' Get Ya             Trouble Gon' Get Ya

I used be in love with my passion, my dream
Accomplished alot and got so far, so it seemed
I  never gave up cuz I was happy, content
I was not cocky but I knew I was one of the best
My idol, the man, always told me the tricks, always gave me a tip
He told me many thangs, one of which, was never to quit
This cat worked very hard, he supported himself, worked every day
I look up to him, want to be just like him, listen to everythang he gotta say
So one day I heard the homie quit his job and sold his clothes
Heard he stopped supportin' his self and he turned very mean & cold
He just had enough, he didn't get respect and had no confidence
Heard he throw away his career and now he a convicted convict
I was like damn, sucks to be him, he had it all, and he threw it away
What a dumb fuckin' nigga, he shoulda did somethin' but let him do it his way
After hearin' the news I didn't really care, I went to my room and turned on the TV
Watched a high school basketball game and criticized their playin' stagegies

[Chorus:]
Trouble Gon' Get Ya             Trouble Gon' Get Ya
Trouble Gon' Get Ya             Trouble Gon' Get Ya

* Keystyle's ain't always based on true situations, it's Hip Hop. :P I just want to make that clear about this one. 8) I know ya'll know this but I just want it known niggas for my security. LMFAO.
