Still riding high from the debut of his groundbreaking double CD Alter Ego, J Records' Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling R&B artist, Tyrese, is set to embark on the "VH1 Soul Presents The Alter Ego Tour," beginning March 3 at New York City's B.B. King's.

A charismatic performer whose mere presence commands the stage, Tyrese will perform a repertoire of chart-topping hits including past favorites "Sweet Lady" and "How You Gonna Act Like That," to his current hit singles "One," and "Turn Ya Out" from Alter Ego.

Tyrese continues to be a staple in the R&B music scene as the video for his current ballad "One," has maintained a Top 10 position on BET's 106 & Park countdown for the past 3 weeks. "One," along with "Turn Ya Out" (featuring Lil' Jon) and "Get It In," catapulted Alter Ego's debut to #4 on the R&B Album charts and #3 on the Rap Album chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Alter Ego sold 115,957 copies during its first week of release marking the highest selling debut week of Tyrese's illustrious recording career!

Tyrese's music career ascent began as a Watts, California 16-year-old native with a million dollar smile on the back of a bus in the worldwide Coca-Cola commercial. Tyrese's platinum-selling self-titled debut album in 1998 on RCA Records, garnered him an American Music Award for Favorite New Artist. His 2001 sophomore album, 2000 Watts, went gold and his 2002 third R&B album, I Wanna Go There, reached platinum status.
