Growing up wit little knowledge of wealth, little knowledge of dreams
Walk around wit your head down cuz you don't wanna look up and see what u gonna be
Too many tragedies wit not many strategies, live life as it comes an' that's what I believe
People say think positive so when u do it's too much, cuz next month, u find ur food stamps been cut
So you say fuck it, go on to the next month an', you left bakin' cakes, brownies and muffins
You don't know how your moms does it, you scared for when you grow up so u in fear of the public
Seeing so much at such a young age the safest thing you learned is how to say nuthin'
Your mind game is ahead of your years so you age 12 feelin' like you age 20
In the back of your mind you keep hearin everythang happens for a reason
But you still can't figure out why life couldn't get better before you started breathin'
But fuck it, gettin' raised how u did and gettin' raised where you at is one hell of an amazement
Cuz half the people in this world couldn't 'ADD JUST' to this way of life as if the producer Blaze was an equation
Too much weight to carry, cuz there's too many burdens to burry
Too many niggas committed to the struggle that's why 1 outta 12 of them don't get married
They sacrifice they lifes to try to live and materialize, while kids loose out in what they need in life
So we grow up wit holes in our chests full of let downs & wrongs, empty inside broke wit no lights on
