There is a difference between a certified calssic and a personal classic. Albums like 36 chambers, illmatic and the chronic are certified classics you ask the majority of people to name classic hip hop albums and these will be brought up , cam'ron wont.  Now everyone has personal classics but those arent usually the same albums as what the majority think are classics as in this case.

Anyway 36 chamberzs is a classic , but it may take a while for you to appreciate it as it has an early new york 90's sound and is not like anything you will hear today. Dont give up on it though !
