Dr Dre on the SOLO tip...
« on: August 01, 2001, 06:10:53 PM »
Hey, today I was thinking, there arent too many Dr Dre Solo traccs, so I decided to think of a list, and here it is...Ya'll can add on

1.Dre's Beat
2.Express Yourself
3.Let Me Ride
4.A Nigga With a Gun
5.Rat-a-Tat-Tat
6.Keep Their Heads Ringin
7.Been There Done That
8.The Watcher
9.Cops DR2 (From the upcoming "Training Day" Soundtracc)

And that's only enough to make any EP

Ya'll can add on more songs if you think of any (It will mostly be from The Wreckin Cru)

But I am really anticipatin the "Training Day" Soundtracc, it sounds really dope, who else is anticipating this?

I know...what i mean by Solo is that no one else spits verses on the song, or sings Long hooks...Otherwise it's just credited as "Additional Vocals"...

I know about the song "Cops Dr2" from the Soundtracc "Training Day" because I got the tracclisting of the Soundtracc on another board a while ago...

I just think it looks tigher, plus for some reason I got used to that shit...

Also "Still DRE" Snoop spits a long hook, just like I said "what i mean by Solo is that no one else spits verses on the song, or sings Long hooks"...And Mary J Blige is all over "The Message"...So is there any real addition to the list:

1.Dre's Beat
2.Express Yourself
3.Let Me Ride
4.A Nigga With a Gun
5.Rat-a-Tat-Tat
6.Keep Their Heads Ringin
7.Been There Done That
8.The Watcher
9.Cops DR2 (From the upcoming "Training Day" Soundtracc)

I know there's a lot more Wreckin Cru shit...Can ya'll name any?

Hang on a sec!

You list Keep their Heads Ringing but not Still Dre?

On KTHR Nancy Fletcher spits the whole chorus.

On SD Snoop spits half of the chorus, Dre does the other half.

So Still Dre is more of a solo track for Dre than Keep their Heads Ringin!

I agree with you about the Message tho

Ok Whatever, "Still DRE" listed Snoop as Featured on the song, but "Keep Their Heads Ringin" only listed Nancy Fletcher as additional Vocals...

i hate it when artists are featured and only spit the chorus like on still dre if snoop spit a verse it would have it made it better

and like on  Buck'em Sticky Fingaz is featured but is only on the chorus, and if he spit a verse it would have made the song better and longer

So? You know how a lot of them do that to all the no - name women vocalists
In the old death row days only Jewell and Michel'le got featuring on tracks the appeared on. Apart from a few exceptions like Lodi Dodi.  It makes no difference whatsoever it is still a Dre solo
