Chronic is a classic and the lyircs are better then Doggstyle but doggystyle has better production and flow.

Doggystlye is a classic and but snoops lyrics arent that great. The album is just so good due snoops flow and production

I
 perfer Doggystle but I think Chronic is a better album overall.

I'm definetly going to have to go against the majority here. I prefer 2001 better, to me The Chronic is just a bunch of samples with very little creativity as opposed to 2001. Samples were used but they were not nearly as blatant. Plus, I like the overall flow of 2001 better.

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
