Don't underestimate the trio of Hudson, Smoltz, and James.  Those are three established top of the line starters, the Dodgers only have two in Penny and Lowe.  We need to hope that Billingsley comes through, that's why we should have just used Billingsley from the start of the season.  We knew Tomko and Hendrickson were going to be shit, why dance around the problem ya know.
