i'm a little worried about what Micah Richards is doing aswell.

Micah can almost do what the fuck he want, as long as he ends up in Arsenal by next summer.

LMAO quote of the day

source : liverpoolfc.tv

Benitez was also quizzed on whether he would look to bring in another striker in January - possibly Michael Owen.

He responded: "Clearly I can guarantee that we are not going for Michael Owen."

Real Madrid Make €25m Huntelaar Bid

Spanish giants Real Madrid have made an opening bid of €25 million for Ajax Amsterdam striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, according to reports. The Dutchman could prove to be the answer to coach Bernd Schuster’s striking problems.

According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, La Liga champions Real Madrid have offered a bid of €25 million to Ajax Amsterdam for the services of their captain and striker, Huntelaar.

After murmurs of discontent from Madrid coach Bernd Schuster about the club’s refusal to grant him a new striker, the merengue board appear to have submitted to his wishes as they look to make what should be one last signing for the new campaign.

And after missing out on David Villa and failing to make any approach for Didier Drogba, president Ramn Caldern has turned his attention to the 25 year old Huntelaar. But it will not be easy trying to prise him away from the Amsterdam ArenA, as their coach Marco van Basten had previously labelled his star hitman as indispensable.

Not only that, Los Merengues could face stiff competition from their new ‘best friends’, Manchester United, who have reportedly put the Oranje striker on their shopping list as a back-up to their main target, Dimitar Berbatov, in case they fail to snag the Bulgarian from Tottenham Hotspur.
***************************************************************************************************************************************
Real Madrid president Ramón Calderón promised his club a striker for Christmas, and according to the press this is what he has delivered in the form of Ajax's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The Spanish press report that Real Madrid have effectively signed Dutch striker Klaas Jan-Huntelaar and will unveil him in the transfer window.

As, Marca, Cadena SER, El Mundo and others have all confirmed that the signing is absolutely on the verge of taking place and that a deal is as good as done. De Telegraaf in the Netherlands has since confirmed talks between the two parties, too.

The 25-year-old has been admired by the top clubs around Europe for a while now and this move has been on the cards, with Pedja Mijatovic declaring just this morning that he was a priority signing for the Spanish side.

The Ajax striker has scored an impressive 75 goals in 90 games for the Dutch side and will be eligible to play in the Champions League for the defending La Liga champions.

The only negative point is that he is injured until January and has never played for a top European side in the past, despite his age.

Huntelaar was made club captain earlier this season by coach Marco Van Basten and appeared at the European Championships for Holland, finding the back of the net against Romania.

Overall for his country he has played eleven times and scored seven goals, ironically struggling to get in the team because of the presence of Ruud Van Nistelrooy, the man he could well now partner at Real Madrid.

UPDATE: It has since emerged that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has given the 'OK' for his transfer to take place, having agreed both wages and a contract duration at the Bernabeu. All that is now needed is Ajax's confirmation of a sale. Apparently the Amsterda outfit will decide for sure within the next 48 hours, but it does seem extremely likely that Huntelaar will be a Madrid player sooner rather than later.

Atletico receive death threats ahead of match

Atletico Madrid have received death threats ahead of next week's trip to Olympique Marseille in the Champions League, the Primera Liga club said today.

More than 100 emails and faxes have arrived at the Calderon, mainly in support of Marseille fan Santos Mirasierra, who is still in custody in Spain after the crowd problems that marred the Group D match between the sides on 1 October.

The text of some of the messages, written in French, Spanish and English, were printed in the Spanish media on Tuesday and threatened violence against the club and their supporters if they travelled for the 9 December encounter in Marseille.

Some went as far as to issue death threats.

Mirasierra, who was charged with public order offences and assaulting a police officer, faces an eight-year jail term as recommended by the Spanish state prosecutor, and will receive the verdict in Madrid on Wednesday.

Some of the messages received threatened to kill eight Atletico fans, one for each year of the sentence faced by Mirasierra.

Atletico have warned their supporters against travelling to Marseille next week.

The club, who top Group D on goal difference from Liverpool, have already secured their place in the knockout phase and will compete with the former European champions for first place in the last round of matches.

Marseille are level on points with PSV Eindhoven in the battle to finish third and clinch a Uefa Cup spot.

Atletico beat Marseille 2-1 at home on 1 October, but there were confrontations between visiting fans and local police before the kickoff.

Uefa said failures in Atletico's organisation of the game led to the problems and initially ordered them to play their following two European fixtures at least 300 km outside Madrid.

The two-match ban was later reduced to one played at home behind closed doors on appeal.

Atletico served their punishment in the 2-1 home win over PSV Eindhoven last week.

LMAO I can laugh at Ajax for the third time in 2 weeks.

Klaas Jan "I want to become champion with Ajax before I leave" Huntelaar leaves mid-season in second place with only 3 points difference.

All Real Madrid needs now is Van Persie and they can serve as the training grounds for the dutch national squad.

Real Madrid are and always will be the biggest football club on the planet, ever.

But they aren't exactly the best team in the world at the moment, far from it.

Real is just another club who can throw away 100s of millions without any consequences. Just look how they became the biggest football club, with Franco's help! Even after Franco, the Spanish government continues to subsidize Real. I can't take that club for serious, just like  football as a whole, there is no more fair competition
