as an entertainer, The Rock.
he said some of the most hilarious things.
even now, he still has it (e.g. that whole Umaga meaning shriveled-up monkey penis).

as a wrestler, Austin was better IMO.
he was pretty good on the mic, but The Rock was/is better.

so my vote goes for The Rock.

As a wrestler, Austin was better pre neck injury. From there Austin went with a more striker style, as oppose to his smashmouth mat wrestling style. Rock always used a more striker style, mixed in with some wrestling moves.

As for entertainer, The Rock adjusted his character more, and would be The Nation's Rock, who was basically a cocky athlete you'd see in the NFL or NBA, People's Champ Rock who was fighting everyone and always so close, but usually falling short, or if he did win the title he'd lose it right away to cheating bad guys, or Corporate who was the cocky athlete from the Nation, but now was the franchise player who was riding in Limos and basically was today's Kobe Bryant, or then there's the sell out Hollywood Rock who was by far my favorite Rock. He was a movie star who had so much heat for leaving WWE and coming back for a short time that people hated him, plus he put over Hurricane and Goldberg, and was put over by Hogan and Austin which was good because both Austin and Hogan were at there end and they added more heat for the Rock to be established as a heel, before Rock put over others.

The Rock is by far the better entertainer because to me stone cold just kept on saying/doing the same shit over n over.

Saying "What?" 300 times in an interview is great entertainment.     Rock at least added some originality each time.
