I don't think any actual samples were used but parts of the song were replayed.

here's a hint:

it was used on a well known westcoast song that got radio play that came out sometime after '98
that one eastsiderz song, right?.........its been used a bunch of other times too........

audio two - top billin

its an old school rap song but so many rap songs used it, name at least a song that used the break and a different song that used a vocal sample.

Snoop re wrote the lyrics for Balls Of Steel off the 1st Eastsidaz album.

Mary J Blige jacked that whole bassline for real love.

The chanting in the back was used on LL Cool J's Doin It

do you know anymore other westcoast songs that used it, theres two im thinking of that are really popular songs.

I Got 5 On it.

i wasnt thinking of that one but yeah it uses it too

im thinking of one by 2pac, and the other by dr. dre

Bitch Niggaz uses a portion of the lyrics off of 2001. The 2pac one I am stumped on that.

yeah thats right, i'll give you a hint on that 2pac it just uses the drum pattern.

its "only god can judge me"

Here's another one with that signature quality that you know the West has used:

02 the brothers johnson - strawberry letter 23.mp3 - 7.76MB

DJ Quik wasn't the only one to use it...

The beginning sounds like the Dre song Nas was on (Can't remember the name of it) from It Was Written. Still figuring out the rest of the loop.
