At a casino the most I've lost was $275.  Online I've lost $800 in one session playing Poker.

Damn...I don't have enough trust to gamble online.

Most online casinos, sportsbooks and poker rooms are completely trustworthy and legit.  There a lot of resources out there to find out which ones are shady:

http://www.sportsbookreview.com/
http://www.pokerroomreview.com/

One problem now is that a lot of websites have banned U.S. players.

Yea, but you can never know when the site owners decide they're not making enough money... I'm sure there are some that are 100% legit, but I'm simply not trusting enough.

Yep, best thing said in this thread.  A few years ago I came up 2gz in one night from one table playing blackjack.  I was betting $100, $200, $300, $400 a hand, getting drunk as fuck.  I ended getting cut off cause I was too drunk, and I was pissed cause I wanted to keep drinking, but I really should have thanked them, as I was ahead $2000.  After that I thought I had some kind of skill at gambling hahaha.  Then one weekend about a year ago I lost about $1000.  and thats when I realized, that casinos are in business for a reason.  They will always end up winning.  Unless you gamble once, win, and then quit and never gamble again, the casino will always end up winning.  They don't end up making millions because they are losing.  I used to love gambling, but now I say fuck it, I know much better ways to invest my money.  I'll still play some poker though, because that has some strategy to it, and you are not playing against the house.

I feel extremely sorry for anyone who lives their life hoping to hit the jackpot or win the lottery.  That is a sad and pathetic life.

Nobody actually thinks they're gunna win it, but it's part of what entices people to play. Also, Black Jack is a 50/50 game, so you can easily come up on that one too if you know when to stop. The best form of gambling, I'd say, is betting on sports though...PeACe
