Pimpin Ken & Pimp C Bring You "The Best Of Both Worlds"
« on: September 14, 2007, 08:48:08 AM »
Apparently, it's just not that hard out there for a pimp, at least not anymore. One half of the nation's number one rap duo UGK, none other than Pimp C himself, has teamed up with Pimps Up, Hos Down star and national cult figure, Pimpin' Ken to take you on a video journey into both of their worlds - pimpin' and rappin', the way only to such colorful characters can, to give you a glimpse of the best of what each has to offer, as told to you by the likes of Bun B, 50 Cent, Rick Ross, T.I., Young Jeezy, Minister Seymore, Mistah F.A.B., Jazze Pha and many more... each offering an opinion on their 'game' and how it should and should not, be played.
Love it or hate it, the pimping culture has risen to a mainstream level with playas reaching iconic status via music videos and films such as American Pimp, Pimp's Up, Hos Down and most recently, the Oscar nod for Best Song for Hustle and Flow. Whether you just admire their style, money and confidence or are outraged by the way they flaunt what they do, America is fascinated with pimps; rappers being no exception.

Best of Both Worlds is a documentary featuring real pimps (past and present) and some of todays hottest rap stars sharing with you their insight on how these worlds inter-mingle from their own points of perspective. See it and hear it from those who are the top of their game; the best of the best... the film hits streets this December (just in time to 'pimp' up your Christmas) and is already nominted for the SEA (Southern Entertainment Award) for Indie DVD Film of the Year.

Since the age of 16, Ken Ivey aka Pimpin' Ken has had the life: money, women, cars and notoriety. His role in the now infamous Pimp's Up, Ho's Down (most watched documentary on HBO) made him a certified celebrity and he has since been featured on albums with raps elite; Jermaine Dupri, Too Short, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz and most recently, the nation's number one album, UGK's Underground Kingz. He also starred in 50 Cent's P.I.M.P. and has been featured prominently everywhere from Vibe, FHM, Hip Hop Weekly and The Source to F.E.D.S.

Pimpin' Ken (with Karen Hunter) is already enjoying huge success after the release of his book Pimpology; The 48 Laws of The Game (Simon Spotlight Entertainment) which hit stores in July, 2007 and is jumping off the shelves. In it, Pimpin' Ken describes the 48 laws he learned in his years in 'the game' and offers them up to readers as tools for success, both in business dealings and every day life. These previously unwritten rules of the street will give real game to anyone looking to find themslves on top of any negotiation; business or personal. Full of candid anecdotes, clever "isms" and a handy "Pimptionary", "Pimpology" is guaranteed to take you from the mean streets to executive suites faster than you can say straight pimpin'.

Pimp C is currently basking in the limelight of having his first #1 album in the nation (Underground Kingz) for the first time in his 15 year career; a position the album held on Billboard's chart for 2 straight weeks. This after a four year hiatus by incarceration. The album, which features arguably the anthem of the Summer, Int'l Players Anthem ft. Outkast, also boasts the work of 36 Mafia, Scarface, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Slim Thug, Too Short and Rick Ross. UGK was crowned as one of MTV News' Greatest Hip HopGroups of All-Time.
