Songs that I'd add

The Game Don't Wait Remix (feat. Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Xzibit)
^ This song was hot but it was never officially released! Plus we were all curious as to why Warren G wasn't on the album. So let's slip this in place of that 14-15-16 filler spot.

Hello (feat. Ice Cube, Mc Ren)
^ My biggest problem with 2001 is and ever was that Cube wasn't on it! I'm gonna put this in place of "Light Speed" so it'll flow with the theme of the album getting darker towards the middle but not too dark yet.

anyone got these?

Murder Ink has always been a favourite of mine, even before I heard the whole album, but I can see it can be annoying to people

replace hittman with xzibit on every appearance. replace ms roq (wack) with anyone. get d.o.c on a track (preferably light speed)... more snoop/kurupt/nate appearances. in a perfect world, daz too.

murder ink is a hot beat, but noone wants to listen to hittman AND ms roq

I'd put Blaoow (from Hittman's solo) on there, too. Maybe Zoom OG with Snoop (or atleast throw it on a b-side - i need this shit in cdq)

interesting thread homie.  8)

replace hittman with xzibit on every appearance. replace ms roq (wack) with anyone.

murder ink is a hot beat, but noone wants to listen to hittman AND ms roq

have to disagree with this man. i found hittman really boring when the album came out but over the years i think his understated story telling laid back flow contributes hugely to the atmosphere of the album and balances out the huge bangers if that makes any sense (do think though that the version of What's the Difference which appeared on the album was better than the original with hitt but without xzibit).

imo there has not been a storytelling mc with a cold flow to come out of the west like hittman for a long assed time.  i wish we had heard from him more over the years, i for one would love to hear him all over the detox record telling dope stories rather than someone like bishop preaching at me or rapping for the ladies! sorry for the rant slightly off the subject of the thread!

by the way i really like murder ink to be honest. i have to say also i thought ms roq was fresh as f*ck and wondered why she disappeared! c'mon man i thought she killed the verses she had...:

Peep dogg the stash drop and exchange of the dough
Lurkin through the turf, thinking how much its worth
Give em chase to the crib and yo he properly laced
Stepped out the car, put my steel, to the side of his face
Murder - this the fuckin Case, rob this nigga and shake
the fuckin spot cause in a few it's gon' be crawlin with cops!
Who's the bad bitch now, you crept on, paid the piper
Who'da thought a sexy bitch could be a murderous sniper
Detrimental to your health, shoulda learned yo' lesson
But it's too late n*gga bye-bye, better count yo' blessings
I been watchin you watchin me, yeah you ballin
Was, n*gga now you finger fucked and steady fallin
A thug wit no love, but bitch n*ggaz die fast
Thug n*ggaz die young - oh what you thought you would last?
Blast two shots to the dome, slide back to the pad
and jack my n*gga off, til his dick get soft
Resume the wifey boo shit, cause yo my man don't know
that his bitch is straight ill, servin ass with fo'fo'

Besides all the leftovers from that album made other rappers albums so it created alot of hits for other artists (Topp Dogg, Restless, Marshall Mathers LP, etc)

"Hoodtrap", "Pop Yo Colla", "When I Wake Up in the Mornin", "Fathers Day" and most importantly "No Backtrackin"

Almost cannot believe I didnt hear any of those left overs.. you got em b ?

and co-sign on the thing lindon said bout ms. roq verse on murder ink .. it was ridiculous .. we need more of that..

16.   Ed-ucation - (featuring Eddie Griffin)
^ Its a damn shame that this instrumental wasn't on the 2001 Instrumental album.
What are you talking about? Ed-ucation was a hilarious (if very offensive) skit.

18.   Pause 4 Porno - (featuring Jake Steed)
^ I enjoy watching porn, not listening to it

The porno thing was uneeded but listen to the beat on the instrumental version, it is dope.
