I think it's the less significant tracks that actually made this album into what it is. Tracks like Light Speed and Housewife are perfect for me, although they seem less of a classic than Forget About Dre for example. Some of the skits added nothing, but on a whole the album seems perfectly rounded off to me.

I need to listen to this again.

Light Speed seems something that would be nice to be zoned out to, like some out of space shit. Murder Ink as soon i saw Halloween i knew someone had to use that piano rift and i could bump that rift all day. Ackrite is dope, Housewife is good but not great.

I think Light Speed, Housewife and Murder Ink all are good tracks but not amazing like the others. Plus yer i woulda got rid of someda pointless skits. Dam if that album had been 13 tracks or something it woulda been seen as better than The Chronic. Probs why Dres doing 13 tracks for Detox cause theres less chance for a track to fuck up the album.

All those "fillers" you listed I thought made the album. you dont seem to comprehend an overall feel or picture do you?

I like it the way it is. And alot of the other tracks mentioned fit the other albums they were on. I'm sure you could do the same with Doggystyle or The Chronic if you wanted to, but 2001 is a classic to me and the whole album had a cinematic feel to it.

I was wondering why Housewife was on both Kurupt and Dre's albums and it wasn't even a single? :-\

I probably shouldn't be responding to such stupidity, the OP is part of a small minority that felt Chronic 2001 has filler material on it....BUT I have to ask the OP why he would put Hello on there and not Chin Check.  Chin Check would fit better between Whats The Difference and Forgot About Dre.

Hello is a great track, but it doesn't fit the album.   Regardless, Chronic 2001 is dope just the way it was released.

I would of definitely liked Game Don't Wait reminx on here. If Ho's a Housewife can be put on 2 albums, why couldn't Game Don't Wait?

this is the second album I ever bought first was Streetz 8)

the only thing I would change like I said was for Housewife to be a single I listend to it the other day and the beat is slightly different than the one on Kurupts

It's better than the one on Kurupt's.
