there are so many rumors why people do it.  It just became a thing to do after a while.  I've seen lines with 20 pairs of sneakers on there and the power line dropping down like 10 feet.  I still throw my old beat up kicks on power lines.

I can't stand that shit neither becuz niggas throw Jordans up there. Like yo, why do that for. I watched this nigga from CL&P try to get a pair off before. It was the funniest shit. This cat actually sat there and twisted the sneakers and watched them go around and around until they was untangled. He was so careful, I don't know, it was funny though.
