Virginia conference attempts to answer the question.

*When it comes to Hip-Hop and Rap, the jury is still out on whether the two should even be mentioned in the same breath. On July 7, more people from all over the country will converge on Virginia, but not for the big booty beach freaks. They will be there for the first ever "True Form - Rap is not Hip-Hop," the Mid-Atlantic's premier "all elements" Hip-Hop event. "Virginia is for B-boys" will host a full day of breakdancing, emceeing, and DJing competitions at the 17th Street Farmers Market in the Shockoe Bottom district of Richmond, VA. The event's mission is to highlight the positive powerful force that exists in the misunderstood world of true Hiphop culture.
