Then

Basketball - Lakers in the 80s/early 90s. Bulls, Clippers, Rockets & Hornets in the early and mid 90s. Clippers the rest of the 90s.
Baseball - Dodgers in the late 80s/early 90s. Twins & Blue Jays in the around 91, 92 when I started playing baseball. Braves & Indians most of the 90s after that.
Boxing - Tyson late 80s. De La Hoya almost all the 90s.
Football - Patriots

Now

Boxing - Corrales until he died. Now I don't have a favorite fighter.
Basketball - Clippers
Football - Pats, Jets & Colts
Baseball - Yankees (when I even care to watch.)

I liked wrestling (it wasn't my favorite, though) back in the day, but when I found out it was all fake and bullshit, my interest faded.

Football has always been my favorite sport

Simple. As you grow, your tastes grow. So, instead of liking teams for being from my hometown, I liked teams for their talent or I liked teams for certain players. Now, my teams are pretty consistent. I've liked the Clippers, Yanks, Pats, Jets and Colts since High School.

Wrong... As usual.

I became a Pats fan in like 1991 or 1992. Marshall Faulk was my favorite RB from like 95 to 97, thats when I started liking the Colts. I remember I was pissed when he ended up on the Rams. And around 98 when the Jets picked up Martin, I followed them heavily.

I liked the Bulls as Jordan was my second favorite player growing up, Magic being my "official" favorite retiring, Big Game having all kinds of injuries... the Lakers had nothing that really interested me. So the Bulls moved up. I started liking Hakeem, so I started liking the Rockets around 92/93. I also liked the Clippers around 91 or so. And when Larry Johnson came in the league, I started following the Hornets.

It just so happened that the same years the Twins and Blue Jays won the World Series' I had been playing on little league teams under the same names. I wanted them to do good cuz I thought it would make my teams do good. LOL. My teams sucked, but pro teams did well. Once I stopped playing for the Blue Jays I discovered the Braves in 93 cuz of Glavine, Smotz and Maddux. And the Indians were dope to me in about 1995 when they had Thome, Hershiser, Ramirez and some other cats. The Yanks became my team after I graduated High School. Like summer of 02.

Bandwagoners are more like the people who put up their Laker flags on their car the moment the Lakers are in the Playoffs and shit. I not a fan boy. If I don't like something I move on. I don't get attached.

Dude...a bandwaggon fan is a person who jumps from team to team. How can you deny it?

SGV can find a way to argue ANYTHING.

Uh... Cuz a bandwagon fan is someone who becomes a fan of a team because that team is doing good.

Why would someone be a bandwagon fan of the Clippers in 1991? What was to bandwagon there? LOL.

to me, anyone who jumps from team to team is a bandwagon fan. unfortunately for you, you chose to jump on a dirty wagon with missing wheels.
