Rick Rock, DJ Khalil, Battlecat, Timbaland & Danja, Denuan Porter, J.R., Hi-Tek

Xzibit is still one of the best on the Westcoast and I'm still anticipating new album from him like crazy.

If we could get an album with a production team like that from him again, i'd be more than happy.

Xzibit is still 1 of the best out there.

After a wack record like "full circle" is better for him to do something else

I would still like to know why him and Dre stopped working together. Like they just woke up one morning and said "hey you know what, we're working so well together that maybe we should just stop".

What you talking about man?  Dre worked on three tracks on the Restless LP and 3 tracks on M vs. M and I think he executive produced both.  All those tracks on both albums were bangers.  Eminem also came through and served Xzibit with bangers on those two albums.

The difference was, Xzibit fell the fuck off!  And aside from Em and Dre's work on M vs. M that album was nearly all filler.  Some songs were totally unlistenable.  The beats were way overdone.  Someone needs to tell Xzibit that less is more.  The production on At The Speed of Light was very simple yet highly effective.

Simply put...

First 3 albums... West Coast Classics!

Last 3 albums.... Xzibit went Hollywood and fell the fuck off!

But so what.... saying Xzibit ONLY had 3 classic West Coast albums is like saying Kobe only has 3 championship rings.  Its still way better than most.

Last new Xzibit verse i heard was on California Vacation and he was still hot on that so he still got a career. He did some dope joints on all three albums you mentioned. Imo he needs the beats, shame he never got signed to Shady back in the day!

At the speed of life is overrated.

The difference was, Xzibit fell the fuck off!

 ::)

How did Xzibit fall off when some of his best songs were on his past 3 albums?

Multiply
Heart of Man
Losin Yo Mind
My Name
Missin U
What a Mess
Cold World
Ride or Die
Back 2 the Way it Was
Say it to My Face
Family Values
Black & Brown
Thank You

His problem is in beat selection - maybe because he can't afford better beats, who knows. If he was still on Sony Full Circle would have been a much better album.

Man Vs. Machine --> had a lot of great tracks but whoever was the executive producer fucked up

Executive Produced by Dr. Dre

it could have been just as dope as "Restless" if managed a bit better, you're right

maybe they just didn't spend enough time on it?

I don't know who to blame, but I know what the problem was. They changed the tracklist at the last minute. This was the one they were promoting a lil while before the album dropped:

01. Release Date
02. Symphony in X Major feat. Dr. Dre [Visist WestCoask2k To Listen]
03. Multiply feat. Nate Dogg
04. Break Yourself
05. Heart of Man
06. Harder feat. Golden State Project
07. Paul
08. Choke Me, Spank Me (Pull My Hair)
09. Losin' Your Mind feat. Snoop Dogg
10. (Hit U) Where It Hurts
11. BK to LA feat. M.O.P.
12. Say My Name feat. Eminem, Nate Dogg
13. My Life, My World
14. Gambler feat. Anthony Hamilton
15. What a Mess
16. Missin' U
17. Right On
18. Bitch Ass Niggaz (Interlude) feat. Eddie Griffin

the 3 bonuses on the actual album, and no "enemies" (one of the worst songs xzibits done, if not the worst). That album would have been much better. People hate on MVM cause they haven't heard the bonuses. Add those in, take out Higher, Enemies and a couple other weak songs and you have a great LP.

imo just because a couple albums my not have been at your best work it doesnt mean you lost any touch or you are fallen off.  Dude is still dope to me, for one i think that maybe he isnt able to balance both a acting (or whatever you wanna call it) career as well as a music career.  you also have to remember that in the begining dude was hungry, he has done good for himself now, he just has to tap back into that hunger....shits still there he might just have to find it. those albums arent bad i dont think but i agree that they arent on the same level as the first two

I enjoyed all 3 of those albums. Full Circle is the weakest one of the 3 though
