Storch is probably the least creative mainstream producer out their. Every beat sounds nearly the same with the same instrument. He shoulda kept to doing the bass for Dre. Every Storch beat is a 4 second loop of the same damn simple thing. He is a nobody compared to Timbaland.

Timbo > Storch? Pfft I hope your joking. Timbaland can influence an entire album (Furtado's project, Shock Value) Storch does like 1 track, and usually their not very good. He's a one instrument producer. He loops every beat. It's very uncreative. Not to mention Timbaland has had way more success across the board. Storch is like Dre these days, selectively releases beats, and most suck. Storch got some quality beats, like the ones you mention, and "The Streets", for example. But Timbaland is in a different league.

Scott storch is a keyboard player so he knows how to play on up beats and down beats, he's studied and was mentored under the whole aftermath records staff Dr Dre included

i dont think you understand about tonal changes, the chords he plays, the bridges on R n B tracks he freaks and the implementation on drums on the beginning and ending of 16 measure sets or the instrumentation on his choruses

^ You're right, I don't know. But, I'm just saying, from someone who has been listening to these guys for years, I prefer Timbaland. Listen to a Timbaland track from the 90's, and an early Storch track, and listen to these guys today. IMO Timbaland has progressed further. I ain't doubting Storch has some amazing tracks, but it seems to over-uses some samples, like those horns he uses. Timbaland seems like a more creative producer and seems to use a larger variety of elements. When you hear a Storch beat, you know it's him. But compare the stuff he gave to Nelly Furtado, and the stuff he did for 50 Cent or the Game. Timbaland can produce for any artist and many different genres. Storch just does rap.

I don't like how Storch does his business. He makes a beat, and sells it to an artist. Theirs no cohesion between the two. Timbaland does collaborations. Timbaland, artist, in a studio, doing the beat, the lyrics, matching the two together. It results in a better product.
