they didn't luck out against the Mavs... they smashed on them.  I think there was even one game when the Mavs won only because of some controversial calls.  The Warriors even had a game to spare when they won in 6.

Also, against the Jazz in the first two games they blew late fourth quarter leads.  They could of easily been up 3-0 in that series.

Losing Jason Richardson really hurt them this year, but Montey Ellis partly made up for it.  Don Nelson is an old coach and needs to retire and should of never put my homeboy Barren Davis on the bench in the final game.  He also doesn't give enough love to my other homeboy Barnes.  Barnes was huge in the series against Dallas but against Utah and this season he couldn't get no love from Nelson.

Don Nelson knew the Mavs and Avery Johnson better than anybody in the world. He knew exactly how to play mind games, knew exactly how to take Dirk's confidence, how to keep him out of his sweet spots, etc.
The Warriors haven't been a bad team recently, but to say they would seriously contend in 2000-2005 is quite absurd. Shaq's Lakers, Webber's Kings or Duncan's Spurs were all much better than them around that time.

Who could've seen this coming?

The man who changed our team from a young and skilled team to a contending team was been Andrew Bynum. Before his injury we already reached the #1 spot and we were one of the top 3 teams in the West imho. I gotta give mad props to him. It wasn't easy for him, after the shit Kobe said about him. But Kobe's words had a wonderful effect on Bynum, who was like a man on a mission, ready to prove Kobe he can be his Shaq. Also i gotta give credits to Kobe, obviously, and to Mitch K., who made the trade of the year.

I wasn't expecting Lakers to have the best record in the NBA. But i repeat the man who made us so good was been Bynum, imho.
