Classic song, I actually just read the book a few months back and it was real interesting how the song helped revive Bob Dylan's career, and also brought a lot more attention to the court case for Carter. Such a powerful song, and the story is disgusting about how they convicted 2 men with no proof at all.

There's one part in it that blows the song for me, and that's when a female background singer fucks up somewhere halfway. I can't listen to the song anymore without anticipating her screw-up four minutes in ("remember you said you saw the get-away car"), which kinda ruins the whole experience for me.

It's a really good song though, in fact extremely good albeit a bit overwhelmingly long (as Dylan did more often). Just... They should have polished it just that tiny bit more.

^^It's not my favorite song of his, but still a great song no doubt, because of the intensity and political activism involved. I saw a website that tried to break down the song and disprove everything it said, but for the most part the website was wrong and the song was very accurate to published reports.
