Rapper Snoop Dogg recently left the recording studio, recording tracks for Dr. Dre's highly anticipated album, Detox.

 

"That record is real it's coming," Snoop Dogg said during an interview today (June 25) on Big Boy's Neighborhood. "You know me, I was starting to doubt it myself and then I went up in there and he played so much music for me it knocked my head off."

 

Snoop Dogg confirmed the fabled, decade-long project was finished and that the Doctor was selecting tracks for the album.

 

"I see what he got them waiting for, it's on and poppin," Snoop Dogg said. "He got records, he got heat."

 

Dr. Dre will also sit in the producer's seat for Snoop Dogg's upcoming album.

 

"Yea he's doing my next album. I got the title and everything," Snoop confirmed without revealing the album's title.

 

In related news, Snoop recently released a country-themed video for his single "My Medicine," which features a westernized Snoop alongside Willie Nelson, Julianne Hough, Brad Paisley and others.

 

The song is taken from Snoop Dogg's latest album Ego Trippin'.

Bishop 2-3 weeks ago said Detox is 60-70% done on that shit he went live on myspace telling everyone. Now Snoops saying its done LOL. I highly doubt that. Doesnt matter though, we aint seeing it this year!!!

But perhaps that's the gimmick That Dre wants some folk to know regarding the completion of detox, 'Tells folks I'm 60-70% done'..That '60-70% could mean anything!
It could mean that the album is done, and that Dre is just selecting from a wide range of tracks, styles and vibe ,and since he has been working on quite a few, it's hard for him to decide..Thats just me..hahahah

Perhaps Dre/camp have moved on from that bracket that Bishop was talking about..
Oh Perhpas Snoop is part of the gimmick-leading us on!

This is exactly what i think.

I think Snoop just talking to get people a lil bit interested again. I doubt hes done with the album, i mean this is the same duke that was "done" with his album like 9 years ago or something lol

It's always good to hear about Snoop & Dre collaborating. I don't know what to think about Detox anymore, 60-70% finished might mean that he just needs to pick the single and add background sounds like the leaves falling off the trees in the autumn.
