"Untitled" is a great song, so far my favorite from the album. Who produced it?

fuck it, a Nas cd produced by only Just Blaze could be a classic.
i wish that would happen
how about just blaze,kanye,9th wonder, and dj premier?

Here comes a more sober, balanced quick review..

Nas
Nas
The Jones Experience/Def Jam/Columbia

01. Queens Get The Money
Produced by Jay Electronica

Not the best intro, but the lyrical content is very good, though I tend to skip this as it gets repetitive. 3.75 of 5

02. You Can’t Stop Us Now (Feat Eban Thomas of The Stylistics & The Last Poets)
Produced by Salaam Remi

Just as I got tired of the latest RZA single, here comes a track with nearly the exact same beat/same sample.
Well pulled off though, the chorus is very good, and Nas comes dope. 4.25 of 5

03. Breathe
Produced by J. Myers & Dustin Moore

A skipper for me, beat is uninspired, and I think I've heard Nas do something similar before, his flow sounds a lil forced at times. 3.25 of 5

04. Make The World Go Round (Feat Chris Brown & The Game)
Produced by Cool & Dre
Co-produced by The Game

I honestly expected more from a Nas/Game/Cool & Dre track.. not the best Nas/Game collabo, by far. 2.5 of 5

05. Hero (Feat Keri Hilson)
Produced by Polow Da Don

Somewhat inventive original beat by Polow, crazy at times, Hilson does her thing, and Nas flows good the track with a good concept. 4.5 of 5

06. America
Produced by Stargate

Possibly the best track on the album, this is the Nas we want to hear, over a well crafted cinematic beat. Subject matter is excellent, and flawless flow. 4.75 of 5

07. Sly Fox
Produced by stic.man of Dead Prez

Stic's dark beat fits Nas flows very good, great rhymes, you can hear new details in the lyrics each time you hear it. 4.5 of 5

08. Testify
Produced by Mark Batson

A little too slow for my taste, though it's pulled off very good for a slow track. 3.75 of 5

09. N.I.G.G.E.R. (The Slave And The Master)
Produced by DJ Toomp

Pretty good track, but it's not really standing out in any way, a little too slow again, imo. 3.75 of 5

10. Louis Farrakhan
Produced by stic.man of Dead Prez

I'm feeling this, good beat and good subject matter, Nas flows great over this track.
I think they left off the Mike Tyson track because of this track. 4.25 of 5

11. Fried Chicken (Feat Busta Rhymes)
Produced by Mark Ronson

Hilarious concept, double meanings all over the place, with a funky Ronson beat. Good hiphop, with 2 of hiphops finest performers. 4.5 of 5

12. Project Roach (Feat The Last Poets)
Produced by Eric Hudson

A somewhat weird concept track, should have been left off the album.
Be A Nigger Too, Mike Tyson, Esco Let's Go, Association, are all far better than this. 2 of 5

13. Ya’ll My Niggas
Produced by J. Myers

Nas comes off dope on this track, but something about the track makes it too repetitive. 3.5 of 5

14. We’re Not Alone (Feat Mykel)
Produced by stic.man of Dead Prez

Stic did a great job on this album, and this track is def. a grower, some philosophic stuff, food for thought. 4.5 of 5

15. Black President (Feat Johnny Polygon)
Produced by DJ Green Lantern

Great track, familiar Green Leezy beat, with Nas on the revolutionary tip, flowing great over this upbeat track. 4.75 of 5

OVERALL: 8.5 of 10

Digression:
I can not avoid to think about how good this album could have been if some tracks were replaced.
Be A Nigger Too, Mike Tyson, Esco Let's Go, Association, and also War Is Necessary, would all lift the album.
And we haven't heard bonus tracks like Like Me, Proclamation, and more.

damn after a really quick first listen I really like

Hero
Y'all my nigga
We're not alone (great)
Black president
America (strong track but the hook is annoying as fuck)
Breathe
Testify (maybe too slow, but a perfect beat to chill in the middle of the album)
Fried Chicken (way too short)

dunno why but I may be the only one who ain't feelin' Sly Fox (atleast beat-wise)

sounds good after a first listen, I like most of the production

who would say its better than Hip Hop Is Dead?

Its like a themed album. all the songs mesh well together, nothing is out of place. IMO, we need more albums like this, instead of having mixtape-like LPs with alot of unfocused bars/songs thrown together

I do respect the idea and the fact he made a themed album, also he's not exactly trying to target the masses

but personally I just can't get into it that much

Nas speaks truth about certain subjects, he also can be a bit over the top as well

I'm listening through, playing NBA2K8, and I just take off my headphones thinking "jesus, shut the fuck up"

some of these songs just drag on and on about all sorts of history and propaganda

first of all, if anyone ever listened to Kool Keith, they'd know he's been on this subject before

Nas isn't the first to talk about dumb black people being slaves to the industry and who's fuckin up and lookin bad etc.

if you're looking for this type of preaching then I'd say it's an A+ album

to be honest I think Nas thinks he's a lot smarter than he actually is

I'm just not tryin to smoke some weed to "N.I.G.G.E.R. (The Slave and The Master)".... that's all

the album is pretty sick...theres a handful of outstanding tracks on there, no doubt!  "Hero" is the standout track on the album IMO, could be one of Nas' best tracks ever.

I'm not either. This and the intro are my two least listened to tracks.

Too early for me to say. The sounds are pretty different - I think the standouts of this one are better, but HHiD is overall more cohesive and better

"Untitled">>>"Hip Hop Is Dead", IMO.
