Artist + title of this amazing jazz tune? I got it from a friend, but it's untagged and he doesn't remember where he got it from either.

Some parts of it sound like early Dave Brubeck, though the instrumentation is rather different, which leads to a whole other feel... It's definately from somewhere around the mid-50's. Shit, who'll tell?

Even if you're not well known with jazz, thus not being able to answer the question here, this tune is worth checking out. Just be prepared to be bothered by the very same question...
