Not saying he isn't a great ball player but he is overrated. Especially is so called leadership skills. Of course yankees fans dont like to hear that b/c if you aren't sucking Jeter off like everyone else does you are a hater.lets just see where the Yankees are when Jeter finally steps down, it won't be pretty I will say Mariano is more important than anyone during the 1996-2001 years.I personally think Paul O'Neil's impact during the time is not given the credit it deserves. He was the heart and soul of those teams. What have they won since he retired ? And Jeter still has 5-7 seasons ahead of him where he will play quality ball. I personally think the really bad times will come in the next couple of years towards the end of his career.

Where have I ever said the Mets are a competent organization. I know for the most part the Mets are run like a joke and I said it before here, last years collapse the Mets had coming and as a Met fan I saw it happening back in the middle of June. Plus who compares the Mets to the Yanks. According to Yankee fans the Yankees are gods amongst men and we should be thankful they grace us simpletons with there presence. Yet the 90% of yankee fans that think that can't name more then 3 players on the team.
