I think he's a much better rapper than a singer. When you listen to his solo song pretty much all of the singing songs are garbage whereas he has quite a few dope rap songs.

Hmm...hard call. As a rapper, he has a GREAT flow...which is very reminiscent of Field Mob's flow, who grew up 2 hours away from T-Pain. I think that as a singer and hook/bridge writer, he stands out a LOT more, which is the only reason he's as major as he is now. As a rapper (and producer), he may have had a few hits, or at MOST, a David Banner level...but his hooks are what made people notice him and blow up.

Check out a song called "Robbery" from the Nappy Heads...this song is six n some years old, and he was like 16 or 17 when it came out, but it was a major song in Tallahassee that you can still play and get good reaction from.

hes got a good flow as a rapper but is a real good hook writer. His rapping takes more talent than his singing so id say rapper
