Me and BombCasters completed a trade - I traded Shea Weber for Rob Blake

The Bombcasters have acquired the best defenceman in the league, Shea Weber, in exchange for old-ass Rob Blake, who is struggling to make a last ditch effort as a top D-Man before he dwindles into just another veteran.

The Bombcasters have also signed power-forward Mats Sundin to a 7-figure deal yesterday.  Mats totaled last season with 78 points, and wasn't sure of his return to hockey until now.

Blake will good for assists, and he's on San Jose.

Normally I would've opted to keep Weber, but my team is already tops in goals.

Dec. 31st, Bombcasters clean out team roster.

The Bombcasters have revamped their roster today, releasing and picking up a number of players.  GM Jules had this to say about rebooting the team: "It's about half way through the season, and you have to look at the players responsible for you being under .500 on the year.  Changes had to to made, and they were.   The core group is still there, we've just brought in a stronger group of players to support them."

Among the new pick-ups are: Nigel Dawes, Joffrey Lupul, Dennis Wideman, Michael Ryder, Andrew Ladd, and Rene Bourque.

The Bombcasters are 70/79/19 on the season.

I got pretty lucky; when we made that trade both guys hadn't done much for like 4 or 5 games.
Since then, Blake has done pretty well.

I also took into account that Nashville stinks and San Jose is currently the best in the league lol.
