do you guys know anything about preseason? Phil Jackson is known for placing absolutely no value on preseason games and tests out his new players in the crucial moments of the game to see how they react...he said in his book that he probably has the worst preseason record of any coach ever. means nothing. im just excited to see the Lakers play again, who cares about the preseason outcome. LOL.

I wouldn't have been mad if Portland got Bynum, but I was a huge Oden fan when he was at Ohio state way before I thought there was any chance in Hell he would have been a Blazer. Everybody knew Oden was going to be a factor since he was in the 8th grade. Bynum was relatively unknown. I don't mean to talk down Bynum cause he is one of the better centers in the league but the 2007 draft was called the "Oden Draft" in 2005 for a reason. Anyway, the point is, Oden would have been a monster no matter what team he went to. Bynum is the player he is now largely due to being mentored by a top 3 center of all time.

doesnt matter...the '96 draft wasn't known as "the Kobe draft", but look where that has us now...what you're saying is pointless. as of now, there's no way to tell whether Oden can take on a 48 minute ball game. dude is averaging 4 fouls in under 20 minutes. Bynum is clearly more proven and prepared for what's ahead. we still need to wait and see how Oden holds up in a real NBA game before we judge him as a player.
