Fantastic movie. Loved the flashbacks, thought it was great. When you first think of this you think "oh the typical rags to riches story, a poor kid winning millions" but its done that well and has so much more depth involved that the story itself just makes sense and fits. Everything was good about this movie! Just amazing! That's what I consider real film making!

its a good movie. i didn't think it was that extraordinary b/c i am east-indian and that plot was a typical bollywood plot. i stopped watching bollywood flicks ages ago b/c theyre so predictable. But someone who's not familiar with the typical bollywood plot would love it.

the director isn't a bollywood cat either but still....i dont pay 2 watch hindi movies and i damn sure aint payin to see one thats just in english rather than hindi.

i clowned at first but finally watched it. wasnt that bad i must admit. one thing though,they aint helpin tourism at all.....fuck that

I think part of the reason it got a lot of praise is because it's been a while since a feel good movie was this well done.  From the movies that were nominated, I'm comfortable with the fact that it won.  I still like The Dark Knight and the Wrestler better.  Still dope to see Danny Boyle get an award and have his film get all of those accolades.  This is the guy that made Trainspotting and 28 Days Later!
