well, missing the playoffs is the WORST thing for the other 20 something teams in baseball because the Steinbrenners are on a rampage to improve this team

I hate being a fuckin Mets fan.  I have no problem with the Yanks shelling out money like this.  What pisses me off the Mets won't even spend a quarter of what the Yanks spend.  I am not asking the Mets to sign every big name free agent.  But our fucking owner is too fuckin cheap to eat the remaining 18 million of Luis Castillo's contract and make a run at Orlando Hudson.  They won't sign Lowe or re-up with Oliver Perez.  We will be stuck with Tim Redding or Randy Wolf.  The Mets are getting a new stadium and will make record revenue the next couple of season b/c of that.  They are the third most valuable franchise in basenball.  And after the Mets had two monumental choke jobs all reports are stating the Mets are looking to cut payroll.  Props on the Yanks on signing Texeria.  I know this has nothing to do with the mets but reading the Yanks shelling out all this money it just pisses me off even more to be a Mets fan.  This is why the Yanks are a first class organization and the Mets are 2nd rate.  The Yanks get a new stadium and say "even more revenue to put towards the club".  The Mets way of thinking is, " well we sell out every game the next 2-3 seasons so we'll make our money regardless"
