It has been reported that Brett Favre is starring in NBC's action-series "Chuck"

as a bum on the street.

In an odd report, Favre said that he couldn't take anymore controversy and has decided to do what he's good at, being a bum.

"I just can't take all this. I've been through too much with all this retiring on and off. Maybe everyone will respect me if I'm in a clever television show for once."

Chuck recently got finished broadcasting a 3D episode with ex-NFL football player, Jerome Bettis. Jerome said he would probably get a laugh out of having another hall of famer (so to speak) star on the program. "Oh Favre, you have really sunk to new lows."

Zachary Levi, the star of Chuck, commented briefly on this news as saying, "Well, we had one douchebag on the set, what's another one?"

In the meantime, don't forget to watch Chuck on Monday Nights at 8 pm EST on NBC.
