Comedian Mike Epps preps two new projects to start off 2009 with a bang...

(New York, NY) – After years of making us laugh with his long-running standup comedy tours and film roles, Mike Epps is finally set to release his second comedy DVD, “Funny Bidness,” the long awaited follow up to his 2006 Platinum-selling “Inappropriate Behavior.”  The DVD is a fusion of Epps’ stand up material and his Man of the Street series across the country.

The DVD will be followed by Epp’s debut CD, Great Eppspectations.. The CD features Snoop Dogg, Kid Rock, T.I and Slim Thug. The album combines Epps’ off the wall humor with solid hip hop beats to create some of the funniest tracks around. The album is being released by E1 Music on May 19, 2009.

The hilarious video for the first single, “Big Girls,” was recently added to BET and can be viewed here:

Epps also has two feature films to be released this year. First he will star in the Summit Films comedy “Next Day Air” alongside Mos Def and Donald Faison, due in theatres May 8, 2009. The film was directed by long-time music video director Marcus Raboy whose has helmed the videos of such music stars as Sean Kingston, Sting, Mary J. Blige, Notorious B.I.G., Santana and countless others.

Epps first gained notoriety when he appeared in 1995 on the Def Comedy Jam tour and appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam Broadcasts. When Epps isn’t filming, he is busy touring the country performing his stand-up.
